I have lived in Camden my entire life, and I have always been passionate about the strong sense of community, diversity and resilience that make St Pancras and Somers Town so special.
Through my work as a behaviour mentor in a secondary school and my involvement with the Somers Town Mosque, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by local families, particularly homelessness, unaffordable housing, inequality and the lack of youth services. I have also actively supported young people by securing funding for the Somers Town Youth Club and running after-school and weekend programmes that provide safe and welcoming spaces.
I am now proud to serve as an elected Camden councillor for St Pancras and Somers Town, representing the community I have called home my entire life.
As a councillor, I am committed to tackling the housing crisis, fighting for affordable housing, challenging racism and discrimination, and promoting equality for everyone. I also advocate for greater transparency and accountability within Camden Council, equal access to community spaces and meaningful investment in youth services.
My goal is to help build a fairer, more inclusive Camden where everyone, regardless of their background, has equal opportunities, feels valued and has a safe and affordable place to call home.
