What is the Camden People's Alliance?
The Camden People’s Alliance (CPA) is a new community-based initiative dedicated to improving the lives of Camden residents. Through building local social power, fostering connections among residents, organisations, campaigns and community groups, together we can make Camden better for all who live here.
The CPA was built out of Andrew Feinstein's vibrant and popular General Election campaign in July 2024. Many local people joined the campaign and helped Andrew to challenge Keir Starmer. The energy, dedication and hope the campaign built was the reason we secured an astonishing 19% of the total vote within a 6-week campaign, halving Starmer’s majority.
During the campaign it was clear that the people of Camden were losing faith in their Labour Council and their MP. Over 18 months on from the election this feeling has only grown. Presiding over a government that cuts disability benefits, winter fuel payments and public services whilst taxing us all more to spend billions on war; Starmer just seems to get worse and worse, and many of us have now had enough.
The CPA plans to challenge the complacent and unrepresentative Labour Council in Camden in the May 2026 elections. Through community organising and determined campaigning, residents can have a strong and principled voice in the Council to start improving the lives of people across Camden.
